Wow. How can I even respond to this? It seems every championship game is just like this and the last 3 outs are always the hardest! I watched a team in the major's all-star division come back and win down 8 in the bottom of the 6th. It was amazing.

The only thing as a coach I would point out is you don't make the 1st out at 3rd or home! No how no way! Also, w/ no outs, down one, in the last inning, the tying run should be employing a "safety first" strategy on the basepath. They can move up, but they HAVE to make it, no exceptions! Once on 2nd a single scores them. What happened to the bunt as well? Why not sacrifice him the 3rd? Often he makes it all the way home.

The only exception to this rule would be if the coach had zero confidence in the batters following, then he would need to press the issue a bit. Additionally, it appears the kid pitching was a little tight. This is typical, he's trying to win a championship! Take a strike. Make him throw strikes.

All in all though, it sounds like a fun time was had by all! And that's all that really matters. Thanks for the contribution! Guess your next post will be on Little League withdraw. It has to be bad in Chicago, not so bad here, we play pretty much year round, but it gets a bit cold up there I imagine.
