Don’t Pass Judgment
I have to admit that too many parents pass judgment on other team’s coaches without knowing the entire story. How can a coach be too competitive when he doesn’t sit his players for more than 2 innings in a game while the team he is playing against lets 3 of his players only play the minimums?
Why would a coach let an extra slow player run into outs instead of pinch running for her? Aren’t more life lessons learned if every player on the team has a clearly defined role and they perfectly execute that role? Isn’t that what teamwork is about? Isn’t that one of the best life lessons we can teach as coaches?
